Welcome to Pono Farm, a highly productive 143 acre farm which produces certified organic hemp and Wagyu beef, all while having breathtaking Cascade mountain views from Mount Bachelor to Mount Hood. Includes 123 acres of irrigation rights from North Unit Irrigation and domestic water from the pristine source of Opal Springs, supplied by Deschutes Valley Water District. Boasts nine consecutive years of chemical free organic farming, plus the addition of over 50 tons of OMRI organic clay and minerals, providing plentiful fertile microbes for a healthy production of hemp as well as rotational cattle grazing. This soil has historically produced an abundant organic crop without the use of added fertilizers, with even the nearby fruit trees and berry bushes overflowing with fruit from the rich soil. A truly turn-key operation includes 120 acres that are certified as both Oregon Tilth Organic and USDA Organic. The property is fenced and cross-fenced for easy rotation of livestock throughout the 140 acres. Currently there are 40 acres for production of hemp, however more acreage can be converted over for hemp production.  

Historically this farm has raised organic Wagyu beef, hogs and chickens, supplying some of the best meat around. Pono Farms believes in organic agricultural practices not only for the humane treatment of livestock, but also because it allows the beef to develop highly-prized intramuscular marbling and more complex flavors in the meat, which simply can't be achieved by conventional farming.

The hemp historically produces 11% to 15% CBD with a well rounded production of other valuable components such as a Terpene profile of Farnesene, Mycene, Caryophyliene and Pinene. This is the fourth year of growing a specialized strain of hemp designed for the climate and elevation of Central Oregon.

The homes: Pono Farms has two homes conveniently situated on the property. The main ranch style house is a four bedroom, 2 bath with spacious living room, kitchen and nice utility room.   The second home is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath manufactured home.

The property's infrastructure includes a nice vet/med building which has plenty of storage for horse tack, and includes sinks, counter space, and a bathroom. The property also is appointed with a nice 100' by 80' hay barn, multiple agriculture buildings, storage buildings, three large potato cellars, and more.
